Bamboo island is a sublime little island where our kite dream came true.
There was a great atmosphere in the camp with the other guests and truly delicious food (bravo chef) .
The bungalows are charming and well kept, offering a fantastic view on the sea.
Besides amazing kite sessions we also enjoyed snorkeling and trips with the kayak.
The staff is very friendly and always willing to help.
A special thanks to Ailene, who took such good care of our daughter while we were out kiting, and to Toto who helped us organizing the rest of our trip, and who’s kindness is second to none.
Johannes (the manager) along with Adrien (kite instructor), do a great job making you feel right at home from the start and make sure your stay will be unforgettable.
I could go on about the sunset whilst sipping a good cocktail, discussing your latest kite session and so on, but that you have to see for yourself.
Many thanks,

Extraordinary experience
I spent about a week on Bamboo Private Island aka 250k Kiteboarding, and my stay was simply extraordinary.
I could not think of a single thing, I feel like complaining about: getting there was well organized, the food was outstanding, the staff exceptionally friendly, the island as picturesque as it can get, available kitesurfing equipment in good condition and adequate quantity. Accommodation is simple but fully sufficient and comfortable. The wind was blowing strong most of the time, and if it was not, you are well-entertained with other activities.
However, if you expect a five star resort with a large bathtub and a flat screen TV, this may not be the right location for you. If you look for a unique island with an unparalleled atmosphere and seek an extraordinary experience shared with a small group of like-minded people, you are definitely at the right place.
I would go again any time to this awesome place.

We spend little more than a week on the Bamboo Island during the Chinese spring festival. Johannes and his team have setup a great camp with simple but comfortable accommodation, but you will not spend much time in your cabin. The main activity is off course the kitesurfing and with plenty of space on the open water, conditions are very safe. It is a good spot for learners, with a boat on standby in case you would need help. Obviously, the wind is always a hit or miss, but during our time on the island we had at least several days of sufficient wind.
Not unimportant, the food and drinks are fantastic, we stayed at another island for a few days as well during our holiday, but the food quality at Bamboo Island was definitely MUCH tastier. Will we go back? For sure!

But yes of course the secret is out.
Bamboo island is unlike any other experience I have ever had. I wanted to go to a place where I could chill out and focus on learning kiteboarding. The set up, the location, the regard for safety, and having two very well-qualified multilingual instructors had me impressed from the start. I felt very comfortable in the hands of both Johannes and Adrian. Their attention to detail and both kiting instruction, and in the comfort of the guests, in regards to lodging and dining was outstanding. The family-style meals and excellent food prepared by the local philipino staff was to be looked forward to three times a day.
I ended up staying on the island longer than I had anticipated and was hesitant to leave. I look forward to my return.
Thank you

Our visit to 250k Kitesurfing was a holiday like nothing we had ever experienced before.
We arrived to the island on a banca (a motorised bamboo raft with wings type thing), to be greeted by all the inhabitants of the whole island: Johannes, Nooch, a handful of very friendly island staff and a handful of guests.
We were welcomed with a fresh coconut water and our dinner- the island had waited for our arrival, how sweet!
We stayed in a hut high up on the hill (a minutes‘ easy walk up the grand wooden staircase). There are beach huts too.
When we woke in the morning we could see the turquoise sea through the slats of the hut- magnificent!
So the accommodation is not four seasons, but, perhaps an eco shabby chic version ( the bed is comfortable, no Aircon, but the fan is sufficient, hot water shower if you want.. And the service is definitely 5 stars. I was impressed with how responsible for their environment Johannes and his team are.
The food is wonderful, cooked by Raymond, a fantastic chef, using fish from the sea and vegetables from their own island farm nearby. There was also chicken.
We had some great kiteboarding instruction from Johannes and Nooch. Other visitors to the island were of an impressive level already. We had some fun evenings with music/dancing/singing/barbecues/board games and good chats.
When we weren’t kite surfing we used the stand up paddle boards to go around the island, swam in the clear water, tried to do stand paddle yoga (!)… We also watched hundreds of turtles hatching one evening, which was a huge highlight.
The island itself is picture perfect, stunning.
Thanks guys, we hope to see you soon!
Kind regards,
Mona Board
We spent days visiting nearby islands and coves, small fishing villages where we picked up something for lunch and days wakeboarding on the waters. These other trips are a nice touch to give your stay in the Philippines something different and unique on top of your time relaxing in paradise.
It’s particularly worth highlighting that alcohol on the island is reasonably priced. There’s nothing worse than getting to a resort and then finding that they charge you $15 for a cocktail and there’s no alternative place for a drink.
Everyone on Bamboo Island genuinely wants you to have a brilliant stay and it really comes across.

It was truly the best kite spot I’ve ever been. It is a unique, little island with a relaxed atmosphere, managed by an incredible team. The kind of people that make you feel at home from the time you step in, to the time you step out.
A perfect location to improve kitesurfing, to relax, having fun and get to know like-minded people at the same time.
The bungalow on the beach was really comfortable and had a direct view to the ocean…
The food they cook is incredibly delicious and fresh.
I had a awesome time at Bamboo Island and I will be heading back one time.
